Choose Your University and Program
Research New Zealand universities using NZQA-registered providers. Confirm English language requirements (typically IELTS 6.0–6.5 for undergraduate, 6.5–7.0 for postgraduate). Check entry requirements for your specific program and nationality.

Apply Directly to the University
Submit your application directly through the university's international admissions portal. You will need academic transcripts, English proficiency test results, a personal statement, and any supporting documents specific to your program.

Receive Offer of Place
Once accepted, you will receive a formal Offer of Place (acceptance letter) from the university. Review the offer carefully, accept it, and pay any required enrolment deposit to secure your place.

Apply for Student Visa
Apply for a New Zealand Student Visa online through Immigration New Zealand (immigrationonline.govt.nz). Submit your Offer of Place, proof of funds (approx. NZD 15,000/year for living), health insurance, and a return ticket or evidence of funds. Processing typically takes 4–8 weeks.

Arrive and Enrol
Attend orientation week at your university, complete formal enrolment, and set up your student bank account and IRD (tax) number. Register with a local GP for health services and connect with international student support services on campus.
